My name is Dimya Heppard. I am a senior at Heritage High School and this was my first year being in the fine arts academy. All my works of art, to me, are experimental pieces. This is my first year doing painting, so I wanted to
experiment with a different styles and techniques to feel out which I favored
most. One of my favorite art techniques is the line art with masking tape. I am
very much fascinated with doing line painting as well as galaxies because there
is no right or wrong when it comes down to how it should be created and
presented. When doing “The Lonesome Yellow Tree” I used q-tips to create the
leaves instead of using a paint brush. In doing this, I was satisfied because I
wanted to see a different look to the tree along with giving the piece more detail.
“The Nebula” was a combination of finger painting and traditional paint brush
painting which was very fun to experiment doing. Being in the art classes over the past year years that I've attended Heritage High has been eye opening to me. I discovered skills that I knew I possessed, but didn't know just how talented I didn't even know that I had. Art is one of the most passionate things at that I like and I've enjoyed it all two year, especially the academy.

Half way there
This landscape painting is a portrait of a tree that is half dead but also still trying to beat life. This is part of my galactic series but I messed up with the stars and made snow stars
